Hazardous Items List
We find it necessary to ask family members, friends, or responsible parties to refrain from bringing any type of hazardous item into our facility. These items may include anything with caution labels or directions to keep the item out of the reach of children.
Examples of hazardous items include:

- Deodorizers (liquid, solid, spray, stickups, etc)

- Nail polish or nail polish remover

If you prefer for your family member to use their own personal bar of soap, please remember that it must be kept in a covered soap dish with the resident’s name on it. Also note, that medications are NOT allowed in the resident’s room without a doctor’s orders. This includes over-the-counter medications. They may seem harmless, but many medications counteract prescribed medications.
Examples include:

All food items such as cookies, crackers, candy, cakes, and fruit brought into the facility by family members that is not pre-wrapped should be kept in a covered plastic container.
